Students attend Rockhurst from throughout the Kansas City area and beyond, because a Jesuit education offers more than an excellent college preparatory curriculum. No matter which school or part of town they come from, graduates leave Rockhurst as academically competent, open to growth, loving and aware of God in their lives and the world. It all starts with the admission process!
Applying to Rockhurst
For most prospective students, the application process begins in the fall of their 8th grade year. The application, including a personal essay from the student and parent’s letter of recommendation, are due in mid-December. Each applicant must take the placement test, usually given the second Saturday of January. Transcript and school recommendation form from a student’s current school are due in mid-January.

Rockhurst draws an ethnically and socio-economically diverse student body from 95 different zip codes (59 in Missouri, 36 in Kansas):

- The student body represents more than 118 area elementary and junior high schools

Financial Aid and Scholarships
Rockhurst High School’s financial commitment enables student attendance from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. In the 2014-15 school year, 37% of students will receive $2.1 million in financial aid.
